John,
If the grapes do grow in Kabala you will be one of the first I'll call upon, if only to lead me to affordable technical help in RSA.

Sam, from what I hear about Kabala weather (shamefully I've never been there), you may well be right about grapes growing there. If you ever get the wine project off the ground, remember that every decent vineyard has wine tasters. I hereby offer my services in that department, but only if you make quality stuff! Mark you, my technique is a little different from that of the pros, who "swirl it around the mouth, swallow a fraction and spit the rest out". I simply quaff it all. Cheers.

Yaya,
Thanks for the endearing invitation. I already have my own small farming project going in Pujehun District that employs 60 people. I'll keep your group in mind when I look at expanding its scope.
But promise me that you won't visit me on the farm where there are bound to be machetes.....I don't trust new or old APC around knives, machetes or pick axes.
I stiil believe that grapes can grow in Kabala; ones I prove that I can lure you home with some home-made red. I make better stuff than most of what I've bought in Freetown.

Sam, This is what I want to hear individual say and do. Not all the rubbish that we read on these forums. Actions. Please do not wait start soon. If you can not be in Sierra Leone, then support by funding smaoll farmers to expand food crops production. COA has been providing funds to farmers in Lungi and Port lokoh Alimami Kamara and Fudia Kamara are running the micro loans in that area. I can put you in touch with them. We have funds for Pujehun whenever Mr. Hamelberg would stop writing rubbish on the net and work on it. Our women and the poor in
Sierra Leone are not interested in debates. They want direct help so that they can expand their enterprises. I have seen this clip before on this Leonenet. I guess Tumbu Net-Tamu does not display such request for investments PR Campaign. Hey Cornelius! do not get upset. Cant help myself. need to attack some one. Well people are waiting for the stockhom funds release for Bonthe and Pujehun. Sam is from Pujehun so he might be able to provide reliable contact for Coa Micro Loans start-ups in Pujehun and Bonthe. We have now one COA Micro loan start-up in Democratic Republic of the Congo. Since April 2007 to now, about $70,000 business support-Sierra Leone, Guinea, Senegal, Nigeria, Kenya, Congo(K), Liberia. We received additional request to help complete a bottle store in Filabusi, Zimbabwe but we are not going to help because the inflation will
make the small sum meaningless. Sam, COA is non-partisan bring your "bikful Slpp mentality " along. COA embraces/hugs Diversity. Yaya

Its a deal. I think though you should plan on
visiting some vineyards here in the Stellenbosch or Paarl areas, to name just
two. Most, if not all, of the vineyards are within easy access of Cape
Town. There's a lot a budding wine farmer can learn from such a
visit.
