Re: [Leonenet] Postal Services Workers Go Eight Months Without Salaries
AKB we are talking about a privatised body here,
don't they normally have their own Boards? I don't think we have a chicken and
egg situation here either, often it is corruption from within that leads
to such problems.

Workers Go Eight Months WithoutSalaries
WOW!!! How do Kabbahlaria and BeLewa-Yodalaria expect these
hardworking folk to take care of themselves and their families. And we
wonder why corruption is so rampant in Kabbahlaria and BeLewa-Yodalaria's
Thiefdom!!!
More good Sierra Leoneans who have a solid reason not to
vote for BeLewa-Yodalaria. Way To Go, Kabbahlaria
BeLewa-Yodalaria!!!
Rev. SmF, this is one more indication that the
survey results you posted were even under-reported, due to the interferance of
the BeLewa-Yodalaria camp.

Workers of the Sierra Leone Postal Services are
currently enduring serious financial difficulties to perform their official
duties effectively.
According to reports, the workers have gone for eight
months now without receiving their salaries. ³How can we work when we are
not paid for eight months now² questioned one staff who pointed out that the
government is not serious about their plights.
Another report also states that work at
the parastatal has been in a snail pace as most of the workers have down
tools for work until management addresses their situation.
According to the head of
the National Commission for Privatization (NCP), Mr. A.R. Turay has
maintained that the money generated by the Sierra Leone Postal Services is
being used to pay the NCP workers and to run the institution.
However, most of the
Salpost workers have expressed dissatisfaction over the way and manner their
human rights to work have been violated by the management and the NCP. They
have called on the management to intervene.
