Mr JL Katta,
Forgive me if it is Ms Katta. While I am at it,
there is a prayer at the end of this piece which I hope it will not offend
our Administrator. Thought I should send the whole thing as
received.
Thanks JLK for your interesting email with the
subject line "Our planet is truly fantastic....". Fantastic
as the earth may be, this piece should bring you down to earth, in a manner
of speaking. Viewed in isolation it is a wonderful planet our earth, but in the
grand scheme of things it is nothing really. given the vastness of the universe
and the countless billions of stars which dwarf our sun, I find it hard to
believe that a little planet embedded in a solar system in some remote corner of
the universe can be that special. But then I am no theologian, nor do I intend
to join in any religious discussion of this subject (which of course would
violate the leonenet rules). I am on the side of those who feel there's got
to be other planets out there with unique and/or similar life
forms.
Cheers.
John

Now, THIS is really fascinating - it's rather
dazzling to see it from this perspective.
