I will like to know what Bunce Isalnd we are envisaging...a tourist
destination...a santuary...or a historical site where we can search
our soul?
Whatever we may visualzing, we should understand that "a rope drawn
from the forest will always carry excess materials" ...Sierra Leone
role in the Trans Atlantic Genucide was two fold. It was a gateway
where too many People (slave) passed and a destination where many
were return...While this present effort is to preserve BUNCE...It
will be nice and worthy if we could pay attention also to "other"
historical sites?
Bunce Island indeed deserves the attention and the effort...but to
salvage us from the wrath and ghost of our ancestors we need a
holistic approach in acknowledging and saving the history of slavery.
Again I thank you all who are doing everything to save one of the
unique historical site in the world...
