Ties Visiting Sierra Leonean Minister of Culture and Tourism Okere Adams held discussions with Mehdi Mostafavi, deputy foreign minster, here on Wednesday morning.
According to the Foreign Ministry Public Relation Department, at the meeting, the two sides conferred on avenues of expanding cooperation in tourism, international communities and bilateral ties.
Pointing to the eagerness of Iranian officials
to expand cooperation with African countries, Mostafavi added, "We have no limitation in working with Sierra Leone, and try to implement all memoranda of understanding, inked earlier.
He also referred to the cooperation and consultation on ways to confront Islamophobia policy of the West as another aspect of bilateral exchanges, and assured the Sierra Leonean minister that Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran will fully support the efforts, causing expansion of mutual exchanges.
Adams, on his part, termed Iran as the great power of the region and a supporter of Islam, adding that the pace of expansion of the holy religion in the world, centered in Iran, has prompted western powers to increase their pressure on Tehran.
"The power of Iran pleases developing countries," he said, expressing hope, "Based on cultural commonalties, Iran and Sierra Leone should bolster cooperation
